Contemporary wedding photography and highlight film footage in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset*, capturing your special memories in a modern and natural candid style. Love Day Photography will strive to offer you a friendly, professional and personal service.

We will take a selection of formal and informal photographs, that capture the emotion, romance and fun as it happens. We also like to encourage the wedding couple to be whisked away for around half an hour for more romantic and fun photographs.

We are one of the very few wedding photographers in the South West who give you high-resolution digital images on DVD with unlimited print/ reproduction rights of ALL the photographs we take, which ever package you choose for no extra cost.

Love Day Photography's senior photographer is myself (Viv Townsend), who is an experienced professional photographer. I am a member of The Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, and follow the Rules and Code of Conduct of the 'Society'. I have a great passion for photography and enjoy the challenge of wedding photography. Every wedding is very different and at Love Day we aim to take photographs that reflect your day and capture those special moments. Please read my light hearted blog to find out more about us. I generally work with a female assistant/ second photographer who is there to make sure the bride remains looking stunning and is great for offering a team that is able to cover the more intimate moments such as the bride, groom or both getting ready.

* Love Day Photography will photograph weddings around the UK, however there will be an extra £150 fee for travel and accommodation. We are also willing to travel abroad please contact us for a bespoke price.

FAQs
To help you with the million and one questions that you may have, here are a few commonly asked questions.

Q. Do you require a deposit and when will the balance be payable?
A. Yes, to secure your date, a £200 non-refundable deposit and a signed contract is required. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding.

Q. How can we pay you?
A. We accept Credit and Debit cards on this website. Alternatively cash or personal cheque made out to Love Day Photography is also acceptable.

Q. Can you send us some literature about your wedding packages and prices?
A. All packages are listed and detailed online, however we would be happy to quote to cover your personal wishes.

Q. Will you visit the venue before our wedding date?
A. Yes, if your venue is new to us, then we will always ask if you would like to meet us there about 4 weeks before your date. If your venue is one that we have already been to, we will still contact you to discuss your final plans and photography requirements.

Q. We like what we've seen so far online, can we meet up?
A. Of course, we prefer to meet couples in person. This way you can see our portfolio. You are welcome to come to Love Day Photography’s office in Newton Abbot or we can come to your home if you choose.

Q. We have other photographers to see - can you hold the date for us whilst we look around?
A. Unfortunately we can not, whilst we understand you may need to think about things or see other photographers, dates can not be held without a confirmed booking and paid deposit.

Q. How many photographs do you take?
A. Now that's a tough question. It all depends on the amount of coverage, the venue, the weather, the amount of traveling between venues and photo opportunities offered. Depending on your package it will be between 100-300.

Q. Are you insured?
A. Yes, we are covered by Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Employers Liability Insurance. We would always recommend that the client also takes out the appropriate level of wedding insurance.

Q. Are we able to own a copy of the originals?
A. Yes, the originals are included in all of our packages. You will be supplied a DVD containing high resolution digital images and duplicates in low resolution optimised for use with email and social networking websites of the photos we take on the day.

Q. How do we choose our package/ album photographs?
A. Your photographs will be provided on a DVD as well as be available online for you and your guests to view.

Q. How long after our wedding will it take for us to receive our images?
A. We will upload the images within 3 weeks of your wedding. We will then send you a DVD with the high resolution digital images in the next few weeks.

Q. Do we provide digital enhancement?
A. We digitally enhance most of the images we provide you with to ensure the highest quality image possible. This can be as simple as a change of contrast or saturation to 'cloning' unwanted objects from an image.

Q. Are we able to purchase additional prints/ canvases?
A. Yes, your photographs will be available through a secure online album and shop (a great way for friends and family to view) for approximately 12 months.

Q. If we are having a highlight film, what does that involve?
A. We will plan a short storyboard for the day.
We will ensure the groom is mic'd up for the vows and a wireless mic is available for the speeches.
With our filming we try and be as low key as possible.
